Who we are
Nepal Trek Check is run by Digipahad, a web studio in Kathmandu, Nepal, which decides how the data below is used. You can reach us through the contact form.
What we collect, and why
Quote requests (/get-quotes/)
The trek, start month, days, group size, trip style, budget and notes you type, your email address, the version of the consent text you agreed to, and the country Cloudflare estimates from your connection (a two-letter code, used only to see where travellers come from). We use them to match your request with up to three agencies that appear in TAAN's member directory, and we share the request and your email only with those agencies, only so they can send you a quote. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Contact messages (/contact/)
Your topic, message, email address and the estimated country, to read and answer your message. Legal basis: your consent.
Anonymous counts
Each day we count page views, uses of the cost calculator and clicks on tour or insurance links, as plain totals. The count stores no IP address, cookie, device id or page address, so it cannot identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site is useful.
What we do not collect
No analytics or advertising trackers of our own, no fingerprinting, no IP addresses in our records, no payment details, no passport details.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and contact messages are deleted automatically 90 days after they arrive. Anonymous counts are kept as totals.
Where it is stored
On Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and its D1 database), which hosts this site and processes requests on our behalf. Cloudflare may process data outside your country.
Links to other sites
Tour and insurance links take you to other companies' sites. When you follow one, that company's own privacy policy and cookies apply, and an affiliate network may note that you came from us so we can be paid a commission. How we make money.
Advertising
This site shows no ads. If we add Google AdSense later, Google and its partners would use cookies to show ads; we would update this notice first and ask visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland for consent.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, through the contact form using the email you gave us. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your data protection authority.
