How we make money
The site is free to use. It earns from some links to tours and travel insurance, and may later show ads. You pay the same price either way.
Affiliate links
If you book a tour or buy insurance through one of our links, the seller may pay us a commission. These links are marked as affiliate links where they appear and tagged so search engines do not count them as endorsements.
None are live yet. We are setting up links to tour marketplaces (TourRadar and Viator) and travel insurance; each will be listed here when it goes live.
Quote requests
Our quote form is free for travellers. We may in future charge agencies for handling requests; if we do, we will say so here, and it will never change who is listed, in what order, or what we say about them.
Ads
The site shows no ads today. If we add them, they will be labelled and kept apart from facts and agency listings.
What money never changes
- Facts, fees, rules and their sources.
- The agency directory: who is listed and in what order (alphabetical).
- What we say about an insurance policy's limits, including when a policy does not fit a trek.
Agencies cannot pay to be listed, ranked or described differently. A future verified listing would add facts we checked from an agency's own documents, and would be labelled as such.
